He's done a great turnaround there - they were 10-17 two years ago.  Looks like he's in line for a D-I coaching job.

Yes.  And in 5 years, I could also be a candidate for the UM bball job.  Although I won't be.  But I could, because it's 5 years from now and nobody knows what the future holds.  But, no.

PB needs more than a D1 HC job for a few years, he would need some serious success at a decent D1 bball school.  I mean, his dad has raised the bar for UM bball coaches in the future, and it won't be some run in the mill P5 job (like it was when JB took over).  Michigan is quickly becoming a step below one of the 'destination jobs' in college bball.

however he does seem to have his dad's pedigree and is probably of the same ilk as far as having a clean program is concerned.

This is one of the major reasons and there are many of them that I am so proud of this squad, I have the most confidence I've had since 2014, We coulda won it that year too but UK got hot, assholes.

It sounds farfetched, but things can change quickly in this sport.

Keep in mind, this is a former major D-I player (WVU), grad assistant at Michigan, NBA assistant (Utah), has already been a head coach at two schools (low-level, granted), and is presumably doing things (on and off the court) similarly to his father.  If I were an AD at a mid-major school, I'd seriously consider him right now.

Patrick is going to make big bucks next year.  He is a man of high moral character; like his father.  His success speaks for itself.  I am excited to see what the future holds for him.  Michigan would be lucky to get him at some point.  There was a great article on Coach B and son last week on the Athletic as well:
