Quick Loyola Coaching Staff Note
Like everyone here, I am way too pumped about the Final Four to do anything else or be productive in any other manner (I think this is my 5th topic created in less than 24 hours). I've been looking everywhere and anywhere to get my fix before Saturday and just came across this interesting note.
One of the assistantsfor Head Coach Porter Moser and Loyola is Drew Valentine (link to his Loyola bio). If you click the link and look at his picture you will immediately recognize him as Denzel Valentine's older brother. He's in his first year with Loyola after being an assistant at Oakland, a grad assistant at MSU and playing at Oakland.
If you need another reason why we need to beat Loyola, here you go.
We must beat all the Valentines!!
Ahh, obviously this is the only reason Michigan should win this game.
who wants to win Saturday because Yaklich's Illinois State teams went 6-0 against the Ramblers over the last 3 seasons.
I like that bit of info!!! Bodes well. Thank you.
Nice. This is the best news I've heard all day! Coach Yaklich with a history of beating Loyola! Win The Game.
Valentine's Day was so last month!
he's better looking than his brother, so he's got that going for him
Not a high bar.
My taint is better looking than his brother (and kind of similar too).
But not a rich.
I'm picking nits here, but Valentine's bio reads:
In 2015-16, Valentine helped guard Kay Felder to one of the best individual seasons in Oakland history.
???????
My hypothesis is that Kay Felder is a guard who had one of the best individual seasons in Oakland history. It's not very well-written, though.
Yup. You're exactly right. I read that excerpt and thought that he didn't guard Kay Felder, he COACHED Kay Felder. So I'm slightly stupid for misinterpreting.
Sees to me to be a pretty obvious typo of guide
Felder’s position was guard. How is this difficult to comprehend?
Fuck Loyola.
Just win baby!
As good an excuse as any to post this
Yeah they actually had him on one of the Sunday Sports shows in Detroit yesterday. Even better if Loyola goes down now!
Quick little stat/note I heard about our beloved coach yaklich. If someone already pointed this out, my bad.
As an assistant coach for ISU in the Missouri Valley conference, ISU was 7-1 against the Loyola Ramblers.
Oh deer, you're on a roll.
