I've been bartending for 5 years. At my latest stop, we have a DJ that literally played The Thong Song and the Macarena in the same set. I've always thought our DJ's have sucked at other venues, but this guy sets the bar astronomically high. Or low. Whichever makes more sense...
I also think DJ's are overpaid. They make $300-400 a night just to sit on a stool, and play requests while the bartenders bust their asses and are lucky to make $200-300. Although in the same vein, I think that bartenders are overpaid too...
