OT: Miami (OH) v. BGSU thread

Submitted by dnak438 on

Is anyone else watching this game?  (Will anyone admit to it?)  It's only marginally interesting mostly insofar as one of our opponents this year is playing.  As you might expect, BGSU does not look very good.  The first quarter isn't over yet and Miami is already well ahead of its average rushing yards per game (they average 62.8 rushing ypg, 119th in the FBS).

I caught a couple of minutes, and apparently the BGSU fans made a human "ESPN" sign in the stands before the game.  So that is nice.  But yeah, BGSU still stinks.

Random ESPN dude just announced that at halftime they would have the latest about Cam Newton, the allegations "against he and his family."  Horrible mistakes like that make me cringe.

Edit: Random ESPN dude is Ryan Burr, and he just made the same mistake again.

Would love to see Michigan play in fog like that. Have Denard run back 20 yards so no one can see him, cross the field and then he'd just be a ninja in the mist, running by people before they can take a step.

This is worth watching just for the fog factor.  Miami may have the advantage on account of its white uniforms - they're harder to make out in the fog.

Watching this reminded me of the Chips.  Wish they were good this year.  The MAC is fairly deep this year, however, maybe deeper than it's ever been, and CMU lost a lot of talent.

I went down to attend the BG-Kent State game. Bizarrely, BG looked much worse to me against KSU than they did against us. Their QB was awful that day.

Amazingly, though, I didn't hear a single boo from the BGSU faithful. A certain fanbase to the north could learn a thing or two from them.
