OT - LSU Spring Game Currently on ESPN/SEC Network

Big year for Ed Orgeron and his staff. If 2018 resembles 2017, they likely won't be back in 2019. Let's see if this is the year LSU finally finds a QB.

Still can’t believe LSU decided to move forward with this asshat over going balls to the wall for Tom Herman. This guy is Brady Hoke minus any semblance of morality.

At best, they’re going to get basically the same results they got under Miles: an elite recruiting class that completely underperforms and loses to Bama every single year.

It's funny too; Orgeron isn't even recruiting all that well.  LSU will always pull in a certain level of recruit just because of local talent, but under Miles it was a string of top-5 classes; right now, LSU is closer to a top 10-15 recruiting program, and that's not a good path for Easy Ed sticking around in Baton Rouge.

LSU sits smack dab in a who's who of talented high school players. Aside from the Landon Collinses of Louisiana, they'll have talented playmakers we only dreamed of during the last ten years. Yes they're in the SEC West and their record may suffer as a result, but I don't see how they can be as awful as we were. As far as Harbaugh goes, I love that he's our coach, but what exactly have we been bailed out of?

UM loses to their rivals every year and struggles mightly against teams with winning records. Lets see what happens this year. If it is a repeat of last year you can bet the doubters will begin to increase in numbers. Right now I don't think we as fans should be critical of another program.

Harbaugh & Co called a whale of a game against OSU last year.

Now if he'd only had gone with the quarterback of the champion intra-mural team, he'd have won.

Oh, and BTW, he went out and got Shea to address the situation. And Drevno is no longer with the program.

We're you (DeepBlueC) part of the crowd trashing Beilein a couple of years ago? Who would you replace Harbaugh with? C'mon, I want concrete suggestions for a better program.

played for a national title just 7 seasons ago. They've won 2 national titles this century. They also haven't come close to losing season (winning at least 8 games a year) since the turn of the century.

Michigan would absolutely kill for that resume right now.

I think Orgeron is going to be fine at LSU. They just need to find some consistent offense.

Cajun Brady Hoke. Squandering the talent base of a rich recruiting area isn't exactly a formula for job security. It isn't just Alabama. When LSU starts getting thumped regularly by Auburn, Miss St, A&M--schools with talent nearly or as good but with much better coaching---he'll be out quick.

Bruce Feldman wrote a pretty good book about college football recruiting ("Meat Market") that focuses on Coach O when he was at Ole Miss. The impression I got from reading it is that Coach O has a singleminded focus on recruiting, and doesn't pay much attention to other things.
