Herm Edwards has a job, so anything is possible.
January 18th, 2018 at 7:50 AM ^
For some reason I can totally see Herm owning multiple fidget spinners.

That’s the great thing about spinning. You spin to win the game. Hello? You don’t spin to just spin.

He comes across like a befuddled grandpa who's not sure what year it is.

College Football is better with Les as a head coach. Just not here please.
January 18th, 2018 at 2:25 AM ^
You kidding? Les recruited his ass off. If he wanted a job here he should get one...just not as anything that has to do with quarterbacks.
January 18th, 2018 at 2:31 AM ^
How much of his recruiting success had to do with him taking over a loaded LSU squad in a talent rich state with no in-state competition and right next door to Texas and the rest of the loaded South?
I think he's a very good head coach, but he had a lot of built-in advantages at LSU. He just had to be not-Gerry DiNardo.
January 18th, 2018 at 2:44 AM ^
Lots of coaches take over loaded squads, he still had to keep it going. They could have fallen off a cliff like Florida did once Urban left. Also LSU was pretty mediocre for 30 years until Saban came along, so those "built in advantages" weren't working for quite a few guys, more than DiNardo.
January 18th, 2018 at 9:12 AM ^
another example is when luke fickell coached an ohio team stacked with talent and went 6-7 in 2011. then got urban meyer and went 12-0 in 2012.
January 18th, 2018 at 12:32 PM ^
I'll give you the "talent-rich state with no in-state competition," because LSU is THE school in Louisiana. But I don't think you're giving him enough credit for out of state recruiting. When he came into LSU, if he wanted to go get guys from Texas, he was still competing with Mack Brown who was more or less at the height of his powers from 2005-2009. You had Meyer in Florida, Bowden at FSU, who even though his last teams weren't great he could still recruit with the best of them. You had Richt in Georgia, who brought in top-5 to top-10 classes every year. You had Saban in Alabama, who by 2009 had most of the Death Star already in place.
It's not like the rest of the South was in a tailspin when Miles came in and that he had his pick of the litter. The South may have been loaded but there were still a lot of schools to choose from for any top recruit. Had Miles been able to find a way to bring his offense into the 21st century he'd probably still be at LSU, and would likely have more than one national championship.

Just reading the title made me laugh. Watching the video was better. Les is like a high 18 year old freshman.

definitely stoned teenager

January 18th, 2018 at 2:22 AM ^
LOL. It's spinnin', it's spinnin'!
January 18th, 2018 at 3:42 AM ^
Priceless! He guarantees people will buy it
January 18th, 2018 at 5:28 AM ^
That's awesome. He will be disappointed though once he discovers the fidget cube.
January 18th, 2018 at 6:25 AM ^
That was odd.
January 18th, 2018 at 6:42 AM ^
Les will be Les.
January 18th, 2018 at 7:17 AM ^
It's pretty bad when our masses will go off on something like this and find it cool while buying the hell out of it. It's a stupid little piece of plastic that spins. There's is nothing special about it. There's a message there and pick your poison. Robots or idiots.
January 18th, 2018 at 7:29 AM ^
So I should dump my Pogs, Pet Rocks and Beanie Babies??? You’ll have to pry them from my cold, dead fingers!
January 18th, 2018 at 10:52 AM ^
into these or anything but there are actual tangible benefits from them for some. Overall I get your point but this is not the same as beanie babies or other examples from Cowboy Cody

You're just bitter because you didn't invent it.

Tomorrow: Les Miles discovers sliced bread.
January 18th, 2018 at 11:04 AM ^
He was offered the position in 2007, right ?
January 18th, 2018 at 11:35 AM ^
This is how old people get duped into Nigerian phone scams. I could sell Les my entire warehouse full of fidget spinners at a profit. Has anyone shown Les the little rubber bands in funny shapes? I think the kids will love those.
January 18th, 2018 at 1:18 PM ^
Les has been too busy counting his millions to pay attention to new pop culture toys. I think he's winning tbh...
January 18th, 2018 at 1:31 PM ^
In the year he had off, one of his grandkids had to have shown up at his house with a fidget spinner. Wait til he sees the kind with LED lights.
January 18th, 2018 at 1:34 PM ^
This is by far the best fidget spinner related thing I've seen. Does not fail expectations.
