Michigan basketball has been a good bet this year, literally. VegasInsider and OddsShark websites list Michigan with 22 wins ATS this season, tied for most in the country with Nebraska.

I can see Nebraska being on the list. They outplayed expectations by a ton.
Because that would just be stupid.
I think Michigan was expected to be average and exceeded expectations, particularly to close the season. I pulled up about 5 preseason B10 previews and Michigan was picked to finish anywhere from 5th to 8th in the conference. Michigan finished tied for 4th, but lit everything on fire to close the season; the team probably would have finished higher without the compressed schedule.
Obviously Nebraska did too. 13-5 would have been good enough for 2nd place most seasons. Last year 12-6 tied for 2nd.
We weren't expected to be all that good. I mean we still exceeded expectation but most people were picking us anywhere between 6th-8th in the conference when people thought northwestern and minnesota would be good.
