MGoWeather for Saturday
In honor of Military Appreciation Day and as many of you know from previous years; my daughter is S.Sgt. USAF and is is a Weather Forecaster. She is stationed at Warner Robbins AFB just south of Atlanta.
Her mission is to forecast and relay weather to all Military Aircraft east of the Mississippi River to Greenland.
I asked her for her Official USAF Forecast for Saturday's Game. Her Commanding Officer is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan so he does not mind her providing me with the forecast.
Her offical Forecast for KARB is: Tailgating; Overcast 70F and the ground will be wet from the overnight rain but you should be dry. Kickoff; 70F Dry. Halftime: 75F and 50/50 chance of rain. Post Game Tailgate 78F and 50/50 for rain. The greatest chance of rain is after 3pm.
So it looks like rain gear is in order for Saturday. I will have my full crew at my tailgate minus S.Sgt MGoKid as we do every year to celebrate her service.
Thanks to all who wear the uniform. It is not easy being a Military Family but we can all share the love that is Michigan Football.

70 degrees and 0% chance of rain in my basement/man cave. There is a 50/50 chance of smoked pork butt (Stubbs included) and a 50/50 chance of brisket. 100% chance of beer. Damn, I miss Ann Arbor.
Enjoy the game and thanks to your daughter for her service!

no doubt about it. She is an awesome kid as well. She loves her job and plans to stay in for life. Her MGoMomma and I wish she would come back home but she comes home twice a year and we go see her twice or thrice per year.
Skype also helps relieve the pain.

Has she given you MGoGrandkids?

100% chance of rain on UCF's parade.

100% chance that Scott Frost melts into a puddle of 97 tears.

September 10th, 1995 ... 22 year anniversary saturday of the day Lawrence Phillips broke into Scott Frosts apartment and dragged his girlfriend down a stairwell by the hair. Allegedly Frost hid in a closet.

Not bad weather at all. My daughter's Destroyer is in the Persian Gulf, currently in the vicinity of Bahrain. Today the forecast calls for widespread dust. 0% chance of rain the next 10 days, with sun and high temps around 105. I know she would trade for AA weather in a heartbeat.

I won't be at this one (other commitment on Saturday, but post-game), but at least I can watch the game and not have to worry about the whole "Why don't you mow the lawn?" thing because it may very well be too wet to do so anyway. That's what Sunday is for anyway, at least when the Lions game makes me frustrated enough.

Heard there are ass-kicking warnings posted for Ann Arbor starting at noon on Saturday.
EDIT: And thank you, your family and especially your daughter for the sacrifice and service.

Those damn Euro's not only have a much better weather model, but they expect us to pay for it. Walling off information!
/this comment is inifinitely more about weather geekery than politics so just let it go...

I've spent a lot of time there over the past 10+ years. No doubt, your daughter is familiar with Owens Boarding House - an absolutely awesome, homecooked lunch place just off base. Best peach cobbler I've ever eaten.
Also, the Cuban Island Cafe on Hwy 247 just south of the base about 5 miles is absolutely incredible. One of my favorite spots in the region.
Please extend to your daughter my thanks for her service to the country.

I was at both those places a few months ago during a visit. Your assessment is spot on.
Thanks for the kind words. She misses home and family in the worst way.

I was stationed at Robins from '05 to '12. (programmer in JSTARS)
I'm in OKC now, but that Cuban restaurant is the bomb. We go there everytime we visit the WR area! (My family is in ATL)
