MGoBlog Camping Trip... Good idea?

Submitted by Dennis on
I'm not sure if this has happened before, but I was wondering if there would be any interest in the MGoBlog community going on a group camping trip in Northern Michigan or something. It would be cool to mix alumni and non-alumni fans alike and discuss things like football, try Michigan breweries, and just hang out. Reserving cabins up north is very affordable, especially with a large group. We could even make t-shirts with our avatars and associated screennames. Thoughts? I'll help organize if there's interest.

Like I teach my daughters: everyone on the internet who suggests meeting you in real life is a 400 pound naked guy with a family sized bucket of KFC in his lap.

It is not another little girl, or that guy who finally gets you. It's a psychotic killer who wants to do more horrible things than you could imagine.

Besides, if you ever did get one of these things done. Everyone would just spend the entire weekend accusing 75% of the other people of being WD in disguise...

I have met many people I knew only from on-line and every single one of them have been great.

I used belong to a big on-line game clan (Halo, mostly), and we became close enough to arrange a get together in Las Vegas, and that was a ton of fun.

I also am a poster on a golf site and we get together a few times year to play and those are great as well.

I am guessing most folks here would be fun to meet and hang with.

I'll go, but only if I get to share a tent with WD, Bigger N Blacker, Biggest N Blackest, Maizen, and MadHatter.

(Psst, I am hoping MadHatter doses the other four with the some home-made acid he cooked in his mom's basement, and they all trip serious balls before eating each other raw... )

"...And a rather disturbing, bizarre story coming out of northern Michigan tonight, news channel 7, Craig with the latest...

Yes, standing behind me, police are reporting 54 dead bodies in the upper peninsula woods, all of them male, and sharing t-shirts of the same theme. Now the latest information is that there is apparently a large message on the ground, painted in blood, that says 'FauxMo RULEZ'

Strange story indeed, Craig. 50 dudes camping together wearing themed t-shirts... Odd stuff."

Has me on the floor. The group would look like a bachelorette party invading the local village with fun filled unity. Please be sure to tape Lifesavers on your nipples for the locals to devour.
