I kind of like Durkin as a coach, but I have to say that it's been nice absolutely skull-fucking his teams two years in a row as some therapeutic comeuppance for his OSU 'game plan' in 2015.
Would have liked for Harbaugh to go for it on 4th and 6 on Maryland's 42 yard line.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:32 PM ^
I just wanted us to run the ball on those last three plays instead of taking a knee.
November 11th, 2017 at 8:28 PM ^
I agree, but it's probably best not to risk an injury there on a meaningless td.
November 11th, 2017 at 6:55 PM ^
Harbaugh seemed more irritable than normal. I've never seen him have words with a player like he did with Nordin.
November 11th, 2017 at 6:58 PM ^
kid needs some tough love...
Coach providing it
November 11th, 2017 at 7:02 PM ^
I imagine that the exchange with Nordin is merely coaching, but he did seem....... I guess the word I would have used is "broody", if you will, or perhaps he was far more pensive than usual. I won't presume to know the sorts of stress that would affect a coach in his position, but he definitely seemed like he was turned more inward today.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:11 PM ^
He basically can’t count on his kicker that he knows should be good. He probably just stated facts. I can’t keep playing you if you don’t make kicks. It is your only job.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:13 PM ^
Nordin has gone from automatic to WTF. I know, I know, he's supposedly working through an injury, but... Is the gap between the backup and a gimpy Nordin that big that the risk is worth it?
November 11th, 2017 at 7:58 PM ^
So he's not the best kicker in Michigan history as one poster said...yet.
November 11th, 2017 at 6:56 PM ^
...got a fighters chance but will need better playing calling as pts will be hard to come by
November 11th, 2017 at 6:58 PM ^
Coaches put away everything when Durkin quit with that sad FG. Fair enough, not that you could tell by the board.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:02 PM ^
Yeah I loved the playcalling on offense in the first half with the presnap motion and shifts. Once the game was out of reach playcalling went vanilla with a couple deep shots, which was perfectly fine by me.
November 11th, 2017 at 6:59 PM ^
Got up big early, went vanilla in the second half and almost let them back in the game.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:35 PM ^
Dude ... they were never in the game.
November 11th, 2017 at 8:20 PM ^
At what point were they "almost back?"
November 11th, 2017 at 7:01 PM ^
though DPJ couldn't buy a PI call in first half. Let down in second half when Maryland, to their credit, played hard for 60 minutes. Glad they sat Higdon after he tweaked his ankle. Need him for final stretch. Fingers crossed for Gary.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:07 PM ^
We got away with a couple of things, including a pretty blatant defensive hold the play before Long's endzone INT. Would have liked that first DPJ pass interference called, but it evened out.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:20 PM ^
was blatantly the target of offensive pass interference with the other receiver so he just tugged at the guy he's covering? If the announcers and refs are going to just ignore offensive PI I've got no problem with the defense getting more aggressive
November 11th, 2017 at 7:01 PM ^
Coaches need to keep the team focused for 60 minutes.
Dont let the team get complacent when the game seems in hand .
I thought that Michigan passed more than they should with such a big lead.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:03 PM ^
I liked the passing Tbh. Need to give Peters more game reps.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:02 PM ^
Absolutely unacceptable that Michigan ended the game with three consecutive negative rushing plays.
Terrible playcalling.
November 11th, 2017 at 8:43 PM ^
This is funny
November 11th, 2017 at 7:03 PM ^
The commercials drowned both teams in the end.
November 11th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
Back in the day momentum or the "Big Mo" as we called it was a significant thing in college football. No longer. Money has tipped to toxic and changed the game.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:03 PM ^
According to some delightful Mgobloggers Don Brown was outcoached once again, soooo..... we are doooomed!!
November 11th, 2017 at 7:07 PM ^
seriously stupid people walking around wasting oxygen...
November 11th, 2017 at 7:08 PM ^
Based on this performance, Wisconsin and Ohio State annihilate. Take another bong rip idiot.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:11 PM ^
I’d say 35-10 is just fine. A win is a win and the team played a good game. Why is there a need to complain about everything?! Enjoy another good UM season under Harbaugh.
P.s. Lighten up, Francis.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:26 PM ^
Maryland is a bad football team. We should win going away.
You use these games to get better. The second half was atrocious and if you cant throw against good teams youre gonna get beat period
November 11th, 2017 at 7:39 PM ^
Um .. we did win going away and without our best offensive player in the second half. Jesus.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:52 PM ^
He’s a Sparty troll and is understandably a little upset today
November 11th, 2017 at 7:55 PM ^
Oh, that makes sense. So he is an idiot with a worthless degree?
November 11th, 2017 at 7:12 PM ^
I could take 20 bong rips and still not be as dumb as you. 35-10 on the road with a freshman QB and the youngest team in college football. Get your head in the game dude!
November 11th, 2017 at 7:34 PM ^
about Dantonio's boys getting spread all over the field like roadkill.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:16 PM ^
wiscy could win, for sure. but if you think they’re going to annihilate UM next week you are probably a moron
November 11th, 2017 at 7:23 PM ^
Moran.
I honestly think we have picked up a lot of trolls, or reactionaries at the least, this season. I’m happy with the play calling, the defense. And tickled by the run game.
It’s been a good season so far all things considered. I hope they finish strong, but we face two very tough teams
November 11th, 2017 at 7:31 PM ^
Ever since Harbaugh came on the scene, we picked a lot of superficial fair weather fans that freak out at the smallest issue trolls too of course. I guess they go hand in hand a lot of the time.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:29 PM ^
Wiscy is every bit as good as the Penn State team that took us to the woodshed. They could easily beat us by 3 tds.
I swear the delusion runs deep.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:36 PM ^
I’m curious, do you actually believe yourself to be smarter than these “idiots” you’re calling out? Or, are you just more delusional?
November 11th, 2017 at 7:38 PM ^
Yes, or rather you guys are just happy to watch michigan football. Basically participation trophy type people.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:42 PM ^
Yes, you’re more delusional? Ok, that makes sense.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:45 PM ^
When you watch Michigan complete 1 pass to a WR against Maryland...
What types of things does your delusional brain say?
November 11th, 2017 at 7:57 PM ^
Pretty sure he completed more than one pass dumb ass. He had two touchdown passes. Your sounding more delusional as this conversation goes on.
You’re out of your league and I’m ending this conversation.
November 11th, 2017 at 9:03 PM ^
What part of "to a WR" do u not get haha?
November 11th, 2017 at 7:39 PM ^
Yes, or rather you guys are just happy to watch michigan football. Basically participation trophy type people.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:53 PM ^
You guys participated pretty well against the Buckeyes today
November 12th, 2017 at 12:24 AM ^
Happy to watch a good team..on the road..win..by a double digit margin. This isn’t a life-or-death situation-it’s college football. While all Michigan fans want to win every single game ever, it just won’t happen. I hope you are happy winning by 25 on the road. Michigan is a good team and continues to improve every week. This program has been and will continue trending up under Harbaugh. It’s a nice time for Michigan football. No participation trophies needed.
November 11th, 2017 at 7:56 PM ^
Don't think so.
Also didn't Hornibrook throw 3 picks today
November 11th, 2017 at 8:45 PM ^
I suspect that Wisconsin may be better than PSU... The nits were a paper tiger and Barkley is literally the most overrated running back of the last decade... Just take a look at his rushing stats for this season
