Karan Higdon 1000 yard rusher!!

Submitted by Cw1lly33 on
With 3 games left to go and coming off a few monster games for Karan Higdon the fear of reaching a 1000 rushing yards is in reach. He is currently sitting at 809 and with Maryland up next week it’s a huge possibility he reaches that milestone next Saturday! I am predicting Karan will finish the season with 1200 rushing yards. Go Blue!

I was just checking this out before you were typing this post. Karan is 35th in the nation, and these are his stats from first half of the season vs. second. This is really a testament to how well we've blocked and how committed we've been to the run.

First 5 games - 45 rushes for 201 yards - 4.46 YPC

Last 4 games - 74 rushes for 603 yards - 8.15 YPC

Regardless of how this season finishes, we have a strong outlook on our run game next year.

I don't know what you'd gain from proclaiming him a 1000 yard rusher when he sits at 800. Just wait until he hits 1000 or say how good he has been the last few weeks?

This is also a sign that the O-line is FINALLY starting to look and play like a Michigan-worthy O-line. I can't believe that 2011 was the last time we had a 1000-yard rusher.

and while Higdon has been great, often times they're getting to the 2nd level untouched. The OL, TEs, and FBs are really starting to pave people and in such good fashion that we've escaped the plays where 'one guy' biffs it and blows everything up. There are big holes Higdon and Evans are getting to use, and they're making good use of them. The whole rushing O is looking great

But that’s not what’s relevant. What is relevant is that Higdon is a near lock to be drafted while Weber is now just a college back-up. Which means Higdon made the better decision. Weber’s choice was poor.

Are you still salty or something? It doesn't matter anymore. Consensus is Higdon is better and Weber would still be backing him up. Hell Isaac was our best back early in the year. At that point Higdon was, guess what, a back up. Stop worrying about what could be and start embracing what is.
