Jim McElwain to Michigan as OC/WR Coach

Per Sam Webb via Twitter. Still some ambiguity on his specific duties as the 10th assistant. Edit: Offensive Coordinator/Wr Coach (Per UMbig11.)

He wasn’t humping that shark. He was showing proper blocking form and had simply pancaked his defender. And he was naked because he was demonstrating the need to always be ready to make a block... you know, like as you are stepping out of the shower. It was important teaching moment.

grier played for WVU, who is in the Big 12, where they throw the ball at least 35 times a game, and the defenses of those teams are usually not very good. Now if he can complete 64% of passes that is something that I think most fans would be happy with, but comparing stats from grier at WVU to what Patterson does at michigan would be a little egregious

So many jokes, but truly like the hire.  Knows how to recruit, has coached receivers at multiple stops, and has ties to schools down south.

offense flounder for so many years, it's not surprising your sole is so troubled. Can McElwain help our team to finally regain the lofty perch we held thru most of the 70's, 80's, and 90's? Or is this move nothing but another game of "Go Fish" as we try to put together a winning hand?
