Helmet stickers to return?
Or was that the one thing Hoke was missing? Stickers.
Not player development, not talent that was routinely drafted at the top of the NFL draft, not a good coaching staff, not a COMPLETE/MODERN coaching staff. No, he just forgot to swing by the crafts section at Wal-Mart or Dollar General.
There stores were sold out in '83 and '84. Those were the years during "The great sticker shortage".
...it's harder than it looks, ask Adidas. They can't match anything.

I'd be for a modern-is of these. Just invert them... the background the same as the blue helmet, the wolveriene in maize.

From 1969 through 1974, no stickers, Michigan went 58-7-1, a six year run Michigan never again matched.
Yup. They cover the most beautiful helmet in sports. Why do that?

Truthfully, when we started doing it, it looked like a ripoff of the Ohio State buckeye stickers. We don't need it. That's their thing, to cover their boring helmet..

Yeah and he shouldn't have let his players be honored as All Americans, etc., either. Giving awards for individual achievements that benefit the team doesn't mean you don't care about the team itself. Why do people keep bringing that up as an argument against stickers (which I don't if they happen or not, just win)? Players get acknowledged for good things they did in practice today(points etc.). Does Harbaugh not care about the team?

I really have a hard time thinking Peppers is going to go flying down the field on Special teams at 110% and make a highlight one on one tackle for the ages to get a sticker. He does it for the team and the love of the game.
In my business, I employ several young people and I have realilzed that they thrive on recognition from the one whom they work for, It fuels them to work harder. Personally, for this reason, I am in favor of the decals. As far as the helmet goes, I am split. I do know that I didn't hear a lot of complaining when Bo was puting them on in the day, and even if it was covered, it was still the greatest helmet in sports!
Also seems like Harbaugh is big on rewards and incentives.
Harbaugh rewards players by letting them run more in practice and get better.
The guys that earn stickers will run extra laps. Love it!

Our helmet is beautiful without being cluttered by ANYTHING. Those stickers are awful and don't fit a helmet that has any type of design. It fits OSU, it would fit ND or PSU if they wanted to do it.
It does not fit Michigan - period.
Besides, both of our rivals do it. Let's be different even if it wasn't ugly as hell.
Someone please tweet at Coach and tell him....
I always thought they were totally cool. Yes, the helmets are awesome as is, but it's neat to watch the players "grow up" as the season progresses.

I'm generally fervently opposed to any and all clowniform stuff and I do love our uncluttered helmets, but I have to admit I might be ok with little motivational wolverine stickers.
These (see my avatar) are "obnoxious"? You'd rather have a paw? Ugh.
I have mixed feelings. I think they can clutter the helmet when a player has a lot of them. But I love the look of these stickers.
