Shitty production but pretty good announcing if it's Johnson and Klatt.
I agree, Joel Klatt, along with Chris Speilman are two of the best color commentators in college football.
Spielman is fantastic and also tells it how it is when the refs make a bad call.
but isn’t he NFL only now?
Feel like he doesn’t like Sparty either
Gus Johnson used to be kinda fun. But now he's an obnoxious carnival barker who considers every moment A MONSTER PLAY, BABY. He's basically Fox personified. With mascara.
It doesn't matter what channel either game is on. We are winning both! Believe it!
Please be true!!
It's pathetic that the last time that happened was in 2003.
at least 20 years for that to occur. Urban is going to coach at least another five years.
I'm honestly getting to the point where I have to sit back and think to myself "is Urban going to be 7-0 and 5-0 or 8-0 and 4-0?" Frankly, it's getting harder and harder to keep track the older I get.
I would be willing to bet big money that Uofm beats both MSU and OSU inthe same season before 2038. If you are even a little bit serious about your statement please reply and maybe we can set somethign up.
I meant 20 year’s from 2003 or not at least until after 2023 does UM beat both MSU and OSU in the same year. Sorry, I didn’t attend a top 30 public university. :)
Yay. You have to love their untimely commercial breaks during first and fourth downs.
Don’t forget the in-game Duracell plug!
No kidding. There's what, 11 minutes of actual football played in a 3 hour game? Easy to get mad when they get greedy with the advertising.
This has become pretty common in recent years...
-Team A scores a field goal
-7 minutes of commercials
-Team A kicks off to team B
-7 minutes of commercials
-Team B starts their drive
There's waaaaaaay too much time between the field goal and the start of the opponent's next drive. Stop going to commercials once a team has kicked off.
You missed steps 1 and 2 of the process, a bunch of times (not quite half) . . .
- 4th down and coach calls a timeout to think about it
- 7 minutes of commercials
That's the NFL model and I fucking hate that shit. It's one of many reasons the NFL is mostly unwatchable. Fox is treating their college games like the NFL garbage. Far too many commercials on Fox compared to ESPN/ABC.
long as I don't have to listen to Matt Millen - I'm good.
Just hope the broadcast sound is high quality - want to hear the crunch of Rashan Gary colliding with Brian Lewerke loud and clear...
Gus Johnson = TV on mute
Gus and Klatt are the best duo in the business. I laugh when people say they mute their tv because of an announcer. No you don’t. You may turn the radio on and listen to that feed, but you don’t sit and watch a game in silence.
Brock Huard tho
The best part is, if Michigan beats OSU on some crazy last-second TD pass from Shea to DPJ, Gus Johnson’s orgasmic scream will forever be imprinted in your mind in a positive way.
cut my ears off, and wear noise cancelling headphones.
Actually, I don’t give a shit who calls the game. Because it won’t be Ufer.
I had a nightmare once where Musberger, Blaha and Raftery somehow brokered a deal to announce all the games in all the sports and I went full VanGogh on myself
Bro, Raftery is a national treasure. Get out of here with that hate.
Raftery is horrendous.
You're horrendous.
Blaha is one of the worst. HIs Pistons announcing is disgusting. I believe he does MSU sports as well ? Not certain as I don't listen.
with AI technology today, why can't we re-animate Ufer's voice and transpose it over a generic real-time read-out of the play by play?
That's not far from how Siri works.
They actually could do it . . .
Silence is much better than listening to announcers promoting a narrative.
You've obviously never been to my house when Herbie's on.
Just because someone listens on the radio, it doesn’t negate the fact that their TV is on mute.
Not sure why you’re trying to call people out. But it was a fail anyway.
I love Gus Johnson. He's heads and tails better than Chris Fowler, and Joel Klatt puts the traitor Gary Danielson to shame.
Wherever there is injustice, you'll find us. Wherever there is suffering, we'll be there. Wherever liberty is threatened, you will find...
Woof
one other thing - would be best not to have Holly Sonders roaming the sidelines for Fox. Her coverage of the U.S. Open was one of the most embarassing sportscasting performances I have ever seen.
Most importantly - she is a Sparty, and will be on her home turf. To hell with her!
My god, people bitch about literally everything on here. Honestly, who cares which network the games are on? You get a football game, played dozens or hundreds of miles from your house, converted into 1s and 0s and then beamed across the goddamn sky, and then converted back to an image while you sit on the couch. Sounds okay to me.
this is not the best time to mention that Brady Quinn and his ignorant Domer opinions make my ears bleed...
I like what he brings to the table.
P.S. ND will be without RB Dexter Williams and one more for the opener per Mike Elston.
ND is replacing most of their OL, we are going to smash them much like we did Florida last year.
Just two, though those guys were both top 10 picks
They also bring back vast majority of a good defense that gets to go against our just as inexperienced oline, a qb in his first start in a new system at home. So it’s more likely we win 17-14 than truly smash them.
I'll Venmo bet you $50 that we win by 10 points or more.
I never bet against Michigan. I don’t believe in the emotional hedge and never want to take joy in something bad for Michigan.
Yep. I totally agree. UM will win that game convincingly.
If Dexter Williams is out - that leaves Tony Jones Jr and a bunch of freshman at RB.
Our Defense really has to control that ND game...
There's a chance we get the wide angle display, which would be nice.
will probably be at night.
