Kind of terse.

Usually these kinds of things are gushy and more than just a sentence or two.

Even the announcements by people getting fired from ESPN are more upbeat than this.

Doesn't seem . . . happy.

If the FREEP hasn't replaced Drew Sharp yet, they will probably stay in-house.  My guess is Jeff Seidel.  It's just him and the crappy Tigers beat guy.  Jeff, remember to turn the lights out on your way out the door.

it and, unless 247sports wants to fight it out for him, he has to pay an attorney to fight it. The 247 sites are independent so unless corporate wants to fight it, its up to Wolverine247.

Depending on the length, it may not be worth the fight regardless.

It's a shame because he was providing great information there.

Really didn't think I'd see as many congrats on that tweet thread before any crap comment.  Personally, I won't miss him.  Horrible writing, one-sided, incomplete reporting...  Brutal, at times.  And stretch gate.

Good riddance.

Well, the replies to the tweet and the responses that Snyder was giving make it sound as if this is a change he is making of his own volition, which I suppose I can see if indeed he was simply tired of the profession or didn't like where it was going. I wasn't a fan of his certainly, but a lot of people in many walks of life seem to do this from time to time, just blow it up and begin again.

Based on his new LinkedIn profile update, I'm guessing that being Chief Flak Weasel for the Lake Orion Public Schools is going to be a lot less interesting than sportswriter for a major paper beat, but is probably a lot more secure in today's environment.
