I'm getting closer to 50, and I sucessfully did 10 push-ups today, and only partially feel like keeling over. Could we just stick with "middle-aged"?

While it may be more fun to talk to friends in a less formal tone, it is not easy to read your posts. To me (and likely other readers) your posts read like you are trying too hard to the point that it feels like a schtick. Once it feels like a schtick, it become difficult to take anything the poster says seriously.

Pretty much 100% of the time when an edgy new account shows up and starts posting wildly and starting threads, it's not because some new person found and is real excited about MGoBlog suddenly. It's pretty much always a familiar face who is having fun

And if it's who I'm 99% sure it is I happen to like the "real" person a lot. This persona? Not so much.

But the who is not that important really. I dont need to say anything else of the subject but I will tell you I am looking forward to when this "version" of the poster goes away.

MGrowOld is one smart cookie and I don't know how he figured it out but he did.... as Franklin states below he was not banned from the site.
Picked up some negatives maybe, but not banned.

you are going so far out of your way to type words that sound like slang when in fact you are obviously a very articulate guy (girl?), eh, make that person. that's what 'trying too hard' looks like.

This is 100% that maizenblue guy from a couple weeks back. Showed up precisely after the second version was canned, which he couched as some kind of "just give me a chance to not be a troll" before he inevitably started trolling again.
This is no different. He'll slip again. Just give it time, bruh.

You're thinking of FS1 (and almost every other digital sports media org). ESPN was one of very few that didn't 'pivot to video'.

This is not on-air talent. It's digital content and production staff, from what I can tell. That means some writers might be let go, but probably none of the names we know. It will hurt their already low-quality live event coverage, though.

The whole industry of "digital media" is teetering on the verge of collapse.

big, HUGE difference between "digital media", which is very broad, and "digital news media", or the publishers of original content which is what this article is about.
Yes, digital news media is arguably, probably, almost certainly in a bubble thanks to platforms taking a large amount of digital ad revenue away from traditional publishers, but those platforms are part of what is defined as "digital media" so it's not a larger "digital media" issue, per se.
The interesting thing is, while advertising power is consolidating to the platforms, the platforms are actually enabling an explosion in content creators, micro influencers, etc. that can carve out a niche for themselves thanks to the targeting capabilities of the platforms.

I'll tell you what: I've never *liked* ESPN. I've often been glad to have it around so I can see football and basketball games, but the overall tone of that network is annoying as hell (to me, at least) and always has been.
