Eddie McDoom in a Walking Boot

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

This is probably the aftermath of his injury from the spring game. Could be nothing. Could be serious.

No use in speculating at this point. Just passing along what I saw on Twitter (h/t Garrett Fishaw).

Probably means he will be ready for fall camp? An achilles would mean surgery & crutches. Other than that, even if it were a break he should be able to heal in plenty of time before August. Staff will take good care of Eddie.

Good thing I was wrong and it wasn't a knee.

Usually don't want to consider being in a walking boot a positive, but most injuries that can be treated while using a walking boot are better than what most of us feared he had suffered.   Hope the best for a promising young player.

Pretty sure its worse than just an ankle sprain. He was rolling around in pain. Ankle sprains arent exactly that painful

He's key to our season so hopefully he gets healed up soon

I rolled my ankle a couple months back. Heard it pop and went down hard. Thought it was broken at first but pain subsided, though I rolled around for 2-3 minutes. Couldn't put pressure on it for 3 days. Swelled up to the size of a baseball. I was back to normal 7 days later (running etc) albeit with soreness. 3 week later I was 100%. It still looks "bruised" but feels fine. Cool story bro: I rolled my other ankle 3 days later pushing a car onto a trailer, and then rerolled the initial one the day after that. Bad 5 day stretch.

Thre are 3 grades of ankle sprains. A grade 3 is a complete rupture. Similar to a torn ACL is technically a sprain. People don't understand how bad a sprain can be. That being said, Eddie will be fine.

man if i knew people were gonna analyze every fidget i make, i would pick a random time to barrel over and grab my knew and yell to high heaven

that i'd be right back at practice, leaving everyone extremely confused and exposing all the 'inside info'
