Early Season polls

Submitted by backusduo on
Updated before the delete: I had to look this up after we jumped OSU this week in the polls - The last time Michigan was ranked higher than OSU this early was the 2012 preseason poll coming off Hoke's first season and our Sugar Bowl win. The Wolverines started that year at 8 with Ohio ranked 18 as the Urban years kicked off. The season would begin with the Wolverines losing to Alabama after our first trip to Jerry World and we would drop behind Ohio (a win over Miami Ohio) to 19 as they jumped to 14.

I'm pretty sure we've never been ranked behind the Ohio Bobcats.  Seriously, calling them Ohio is pretty lame.  It's lame when they call us TSUN or *ichigan, but we expect that out of them.  Let's not stoop to their level.

It's not like it's a tradition or even makes any sense.  It was a Hoke quirk that was fun in his early years because he actually beat them his first try (and even played them tough in all his chances).

But because of how poorly that all went, I'm not sure why anyone keeps that around.  Didn't work long enough to become a thing.

Until we meet in the CFP Championship game.  That would be pretty epic.

But one game at a time boys.  Got some stuff to improve but that's why we have the best coaches in the land.

GO BLUE!!
