Demar Dorsey Update

Found this link on Allen Trieu's Twitter. Seems like Dorsey is going to be transferring to a D-1 FBS school. I know Michigan doesn't do the JUCO thing often (or at all?), but this would be a pretty good story (and a pretty athletic player). The kid was like collateral damage in the media's villification of Rich Rodriguez. He didn't qualify, had some trouble, etc. Two years later, cleans up his act takes the road less traveled and joins his cousin Denard Robinson at Michigan. That has ESPN College Gameday feature written all over it.

I know it's not likely, but what does everyone else think?

Sorry to thread jack, I don't have enough points to post my own topic. Per TomVH, it doesn't look like Jordan Payton will announce tomorrow. Could be that he's deciding now between going Blue and going irish. Fingers crossed he makes the right decision

Is Dorsey ever going to die on this site?  Let it go.

He will never wear the maize and blue under the new regime.  He was Rich Rod's man - and a much maligned one at that.  I don't see Hoke and company touching this.

Good luck to Dorsey, but he won't suit up for UM.

I will say, though, for those people taking shots at him because of his past, he seems like he has cleaned himself up and is making the types of decisions you like to see from a kid.  Sure, he might still mess up wherever he lands, but it looks like he has turned a corner when it comes to maturity.

I'd love to see Denard's cuzzin in a Wolverine uniform. Great story and an impact player.

By all accounts, he's tried to change the direction his life was heading in and he's jumped through the hoops that he needed to, but I won't hold my breath for BRANDon to give Dorsey a chance.

Best of luck to DD wherever he goes.
