Best Iowa has looked all year right now...granted it's against a bad Wiscy team.

Amazing what showing a focus and intensity on defense can do and how it auto make a you look better (helps they're hitting some shots too...Wiscy D not good thus far)

their metrics are actually good, so they haven't necessarily been a mirage, but they feel like an overacheiver coming down to earth.

Getting blasted at home by OSU, which would be their fourth loss in five games.

I actually spoke too soon on TTU because they came back to win tonight.

They've had similar seasons in terms of fast starts and are now struggling in conference play.  Texas Tech has a bit more staying power I think because:

1) again, their metrics are actually good so it's not like they just got lucky in a lot of early close games like ASU did

2) their slide has come against some pretty good teams in the Big12 (except ISU), whereas ASU is losing to several bad teams in the PAC12 (Colorado, home to Oregon, Stanford).

they're a lot like Bo Ryan's pre-Kaminsky Wisconsin teams that almost always dramatically underacheived.  They tended to be ok at offense because they didn't turn it over and they were usually elite at defense (the Jordan Taylor/Jon Leuer year notwithstanding). I think in the tourney when other more talented teams turn it up, their defensive advantage goes away some and then you need guys that can make baskets.

Wisconsin finally broke through and got to the final four when they started having elite offenses (to go along with good defenses) with Kaminsky, Hayes, Dekker, etc.

I don't think they have enough on offense once again.
