Hello Chicagoland MGoBloggers-

I'm opening up my doors for a watch party for this Saturday night's game against MSU, like I have in past seasons (as detailed in this post here LINK).

I live out in Gilberts, which is about 3 miles off of I-90 from the Randall Road exit. Now that the 90 widening project is done between O'Hare and Randall Road, it's only about 25 minutes or less (depending on how heavy your foot) out to my house from the airport. For my exact address, or to RSVP if you have my address from a prior MGoParty, please email me at my gmail account, which is mikecohodes (@) gmail (dot) com. (doing the at and dot parts this way to prevent my email from getting picked up by automated spammers). Or, you can reach out to me on Twitter, @MikeCohodes

If you are interested in coming please let me know so I don't get too much or too little food! You don't need to bring anything but if you have a particular snack or beverage you enjoy, feel free to bring some!

If you want to be added to the email distribution list for future games, please also let me know your email address! I'll be hosting these for Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and any post season games. Thanks!

Hope to see some of you Saturday, and Go Blue!

I laughed at this post. Well done.

Actually, if I lived in the Chicago area, I would bring mine to help with the bottom corner there - they are usually good sports about things like this, although we'd have to possibly feed them if it went to OT. Well, we'd have to prop them up too if they fell asleep (game will end past bedtime), but that's merely an engineering question and it IS a Michigan viewing part - there WILL be engineers.

are a brave individual. I don't really like people I know coming to my house let alone strangers....especially during Michigan football.

Seriously, sounds like a great time. Enjoy.

Well jeez, that's an incredibly personal question! OK, let me do some quick math... I didn't really do "that" until after high school, as I just didn't care about her pleasure. Once I got into it in college, it was pretty much part of my scripted routine: kissing, heavy petting, hand down there, etc. Figure a new one each weekend, more or less, for 5 years before I got married.

Conservatively, let's say... 200. I've eaten 200...

Awesome that you set this up, but a bit of a trek for those of us downtown.

You should head to the city during a game that you aren't hosting and watch at Rockit.

In 2016 we didn't host any due to mid-season arrival of baby #2, but we've had watch parties with updwards of 20 people for super bowls in the past. Usually 3-5 mgobloggers show up sometimes alone sometimes with kids/significant others in tow, so there will be between 5 and 10 people on average usually. Biggest Michigan game party we had was 2015 MSU when there was maybe 18 people total including kids. Biggest event ever at our house was our eldest's first birthday party when we had 30+ people.

I'll actually be in Michigan with a good 9 Michigan alumni friends this weekend . . . otherwise would join you. Enjoyed going out to join you a couple years ago. Appreciate it!

We were once the tech capital of the United States. In fact, we were the first tech capital with Motorola dominating the tech market for decades. That when by the wayside as the Midwest generally got conservative with innovation. Huge upswell of tech finally popping up in Chicago again. Amazon only helps the cause.
