As for the third transgression, sounds like a 2013 Freshman is suspended or something...may have to do with a drinking charge.  It sounds minor.

I don't think the rate of drinking in college is 100%, but that's neither here nor there.

Despite the fact that it's not that serious of an offense, I get the impression that the guys Hoke has recruited would be smart enough not to get busted for stupid shit if their coach were taking heat for poor discipline in that very same week.  Maybe leave the beer in the house.

I didn't see this in the 11W story, but per BucksInsider (HERE), Bradley Roby has indeed been indefinitely suspended pending the results of the investigation.

Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch also mentioned this as well.

At this point, Urban Meyer and long arrest records are completely intertwined. Is it a coincidence that his Florida teams had so many arrested, and now his osu teams are following suit? This is more than just an isolated incident here or there, there is a serious pattern developing with frequency that is impossible to ignore, at two different schools now. In my opinion, this speaks definitively of the type of person he recruits and the environment he sets in his program.

That is a minor factor, as "Urbz" is now in charge and has been long enough to hold him somewhat accountable. No coach on any team can control what his players do on their own time, but they're still held somewhat accountable.

Which would be fine IF he recruited either Hyde or Roby but he didnt.  So you can't hang that on him and if he's kicking these guys off the team (and they actually stay kicked off) I'm not sure what more he can do at this point.

"but but but I put up a really big vinyl graphic that says to be nice to everyone?????? Doesnt that mean I tried?"-Meyer

Most of the time I think everyone is too quick to pile onto the HC, but in this case the amount of "transgressions" at 2 high level programs that Meyer has lead is making me believe otherwise.  I would be curious to see his numbers from Utah and wherever the hell else he has coached.

but with urban being the d bag he is, I'm enjoying it. I love to play them at there best but not when an asshole whose full of himself is there.

of college FB players on full scholarship at D1A schools who have been booted off their teams over the last two decades for stupid asshattery? I'd bet it's in the hundreds. I also wonder how many of them ever got a degree anywhere.

I'm glad this is all happening prior to B1G Media Day.  Much better that Urban should be asked about his criminals than normall football stuff.

Side note...poor Mark Dantonio, he even bussed players right from prison to practice and, with the arrival of Urban, Mark can't even win the "most criminals" award anymore.

I wouldnt be surprised if Meyer makes some kind of stipulation with Hyde that if he maintains good behavior through the rest of the summer and season, he has a chance of being reinstated. And we'll see him reinstated a week or two before The Game to warm up. Just watch.

Hard to believe players could get themselves into that kind of trouble when Ohio puts their "core values" on the wall for all to see.  Why did you not obey the wall guys?!

That is obvioulsy not nearly as serious as the first two offenses...but interesting nontheless.  I really hope Brady Hoke uses this as a lesson to our kids to not be stupid.  Season is right around the corner and you only get one shot at college football and more importantly life.   11Warriors site is going bizerko...and it's hilarious.

Roby will be back by the start of the conference schedule. What he dd was dumb but its really not that bad in the grand scheme.

Hyde, maybe by mid-season if he's lucky. Wouldn't shock me to see him reinstated in the week or two leading up to The Game like Posey was two years ago.

Urban Meyer and these arrests at BIG Media Day(s) will be similar to the Johnny Football buzz during SEC Media Day(s). Although I am interested what Urbz will say I still like to think Media Days are about THE ACTUAL FOOTBALL that is coming in a few weeks.

That I should know the answer to. Does this mean Hyde loses his scholarship this year/semester? What about Roby?

There's no reason to get our hopes up that a player disissal from ohio will hurt their team. history says Urb won't get rid of a player unless he thinks he has a better one to take his place.

What's funny (and a tad ironic) is Roby is slated to be one of three OSU players representing the football team at media day.  I wonder if that'll change.
