Can Brandon Graham play quarterback?

Submitted by Blue_Bull_Run on
We need to get the ball in Graham's hands. He's a man among boys, and quite frankly the only guy who's showed up the past two weeks! Two weeks in a row with a blocked punt, and a fumble on the very next play. If he forces a turnover against Purdue, I'd let him take the ensuing snap. Kid's earned it!! The rest of the team - well, to sum it up in one sentence - they've been a disappointing FAIL to me, at least in the big ten season. But Graham is a beast. That's my new man crush. Shoulda made that my costume tonight!

I thought Tate played well, and for the most part, his receivers came through for him. But poor decision-making and turnovers spell doom for the youngster. I'd like to see some progress (finally) on the maturation of those issues by season's end, and he morphs once again into a confident, talented quarterback.

We're we watching the same game? -Missed reads in the run game -Missed reads in the passing game -Ball security of a JV player; one fumble caused by a slight bump of his own teammate (the one Moose pounced on) -Can't get the extra yards to finish runs b/c of his fragility -Yes, he hit some wide open receivers down the field (which DRob couldn't do right now) but this is only doing your job, I wouldn't call it "playing well"

That is this teams biggest problem. The offense was able to move into the redzone but turned the ball over 3 times (2 fumbles and Turnover on downs) that right there is the game. Convert these opportunities and you stop the Illinois momentum and probably go ahead and win the game. JUST HOLD ONTO THE DAMN BALL

Quality of play = B0 + B1(decision-making) + B2(turnovers) + B3(passing yards) + B4(touchdowns) + e Decision making and turnovers are factors in determining whether or not he played well. He threw the ball okay for the most part, until everything came undone in the second half, but you can't let things come undone as the leader and starting QB. Handling adversity on the road is something he'll have to learn. The line could have helped out a lot more than it did, and I don't think Tate played bad, but he cetainly didn't have a good game.

Can Bob Saget be president? Everyone has a job to do, everybody has to move and groove. Graham's is to kill quarterbacks. Saget's is to kill audiences and sitcoms. They might be perfect for other jobs, but fate has it in otherwise. Besides, Tate will be fine.

Can Denard touch the ball without playing QB? Seems like such a waste to have him on the bench. A little wildcat on the goal line would have been nice. Unless he fumbled. Then I'd be all ZOMG HAND IT OFF RR YOU MORAN!!!!1

I feared his gunslinger attitude towards holding on to the ball while scrambling was going to bite us someday. He did some good things out there of course, but also classic freshman decision making. Why couldn't he throw out to Moundros in the flat!!? There will be no cackling with knowing glee this year...

I really feel especially bad for B. Graham and the other seniors. Minor hasn't been healthy all year. Stevie Brown has been the bright spot in a weak LB corps. They deserve better than this, and that is depressing.

When I saw this post, I thought it was marking the return of Miss Meechigan to the blog. I was disappointed. However, your post may urge her to return... Are you out there Miss Meechigan?

Anyone got a video of the BG sack? My stream froze on that play and didn't see it. Have been told it was like a 'bear eating a rabbit' and 'BG blew that mofo back to last year'
