So the Cotton Bowl have become the Rose Bowl's Stunt double.

I can see why they would want to hook up th 2 conference champions that didn't make the playoff.

Washington vs PSU in the FIesta will be fireworks.
Saquon and McSorley vs Browning and Pettis/Gaskin

Washington's defense might be too much with Moorehead gone.

This is largely impressionistic, but I've been somewhat uninterested in recent bowl games, aside from our game. But this year seems to be full of really nice matchups: PSU vs. Washington, OSU vs. USC, ND vs. LSU, Miami vs. Wisconsin, Stanford vs. TCU, etc. (Even MSU vs. WSU feels appropriately "blah" with some Leach-Pirate action to spice things up.) These mathups just feel "right." And at least we get a winnable game on Jan. 1.

Since S&P is treated as gospel around here I'll say this. Kentucky is 94 in the S&P. USCeast is 66. I'd rather play UK.

That looks to be it for the B1G. FOUR match-ups with the Pac-12 this year, that's a lot!
Ohio State vs USC (Pac-12)
Wisconsin vs Miami (ACC)
Penn State vs Washington (Pac-12)
Michigan vs South Carolina (SEC)
Michigan State vs Washington State (Pac-12)
Iowa vs Boston College (ACC)
Northwestern vs Kentucky (SEC)
Purdue vs Arizona (Pac-12)

The Boston College football team will be playing Iowa in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York after having played UConn at Fenway Park in Boston on November 18.

LOL at the fact that OSU doesn't only get no playoff, but no Rose Bowl because a semifinal is in Pasadena this year!
Probably sucks to be an OSU fan rn, besides a great matchup, their bowl game is no more meaningful than ours.

For as good as they have been and how much they have dominated the Big Ten, Ohio State has only played in one Rose Bowl in 20 years.

Ha ha Auburn. They could have gone to the Playoff 24 hours ago.
Now they are playing UCF who doesn't even have a coach.

Lose to Iowa in an all time spanking and don't look competitive against OU and this us what you get.
No dominant PAC-12 team and Wisconsin not getting it done and this is what happens. I am annoyed Bama got in, again, without even winning their own division, but other teams do have to step up to the plate and kick them off the pedestal.

There's a marketing opportunity here: Pitino and his assistants are sitting around the athetic offices talking about the bribes and how/whether to include them in their tax returns, and the next thing you know the FBI is raiding the place and they're all arrested for tax evasion.
Too bad they didn't use Taxslayer Pro!
