Beilein not included in this years Infiniti Coaches Challenge
I guess they got tired of us winning every year? Stinks for ChadTough though as they were used to getting $100k from this every year.

it was that patterned shirt and tie combo at MSU. I mean, there had to be consequences for that decision at some point, right?

he's not condemned to wear those green post-season bowl castoff jackets that Izzo sports.

sport coats are awful. He wore a purple sport coat with gold buttons earlier this year. I mean.... wha???
January 17th, 2018 at 12:45 PM ^
He doesn't have much of a choice. The selection at Baby GAP is quite limited for sport coats...

stuff.

Good on you, though.

As long as he doesn't start doing this, I'm fine with his wardrobe decisions:
January 17th, 2018 at 12:50 PM ^
No turtlenecks!!
Also, no turtlenecks in Beilein's wardrobe either.
January 17th, 2018 at 1:14 PM ^
No Pee Wee Herman outfits like Coach K.

This is where someone more tech savy than I should:
insert infamous Tom Crean "pants adjustment photo" here

Pfft. I disagree.
JB's fashion sense is modern. Gingham with a tie is perfectly fine.

a Go Fund me Infinity Challenge replacement campaign

If you win, you agree to take a year off. It was in the fine print.

Not sure if I'm serious but I'm fairly certain he won the last 2 years
January 17th, 2018 at 11:55 AM ^
I just double checked and he did repeat, I think the language was in there last year, but I cannot find it now to be sure, so who knows, maybe not.

If any of the lesser known coaches were smart, they would've said they'd give 1/2 of their winnings to ChadTough and 1/2 to their charity of choice. Then they'd get the Michigan fan vote.

if MGoBlog can raise almost $35k for CFS/ME in about a week off season then maybe during football season MGoBlog can run a ChadTough fundraiser and hit the $100k goal on its own. tie it to the season opener and run through the season. make it annual if it hits the $100k mark. my guess is it would raise a lot more in the 4+months of the football season than the infiniti challenge.

I don't know why they talk about him going for the "hat trick" on their website then...... (if I knew how to upload a picture I would to prove it).

....this excerpt is on the main page along with an image of Beilein:
John Beilein,
University of Michigan
John Beilein has won an impressive 776 games during his career, not to mention he's championed this Challenge for the past two years running. Can he make his winning streak a hat-trick?
Did they change their mind or did they mistakenly leave him out?

Just above that excerpt about John Beilein is the following excerpt:
Thad Matta,
Ohio State
In 2015 Thad Matta set a winning victory record for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but can he set a similar record for the INFINITI Coaches' Challenge?
So I don't think one should take the main page too seriously.

that's dumb! Also we have 2 coaches in the same vein
January 17th, 2018 at 4:29 PM ^
Let me guess, this is the coaches saying to the refs " Pull your head out of your ass "
January 17th, 2018 at 4:16 PM ^
That's it.... i refuse to by an infiniti!

We should just break the rules somehow and get Ace to represent Michigan in the challenge for CFS instead of Beilein for ChadTough!
At this point, we might as well keep our winning streak going, but for different causes each year.
