Well a story posted here yesterday said he visited his Grandmother while in Lexington...so there is a connection there.

I'm still hoping someday we'll get more info on why this very highly rated player was never a priority for Michigan, and why "whispers" about his commitment not just to KY is questioned, but to playing football at all.

Magnus, whenever you're ready...

You express doubts this commitment will stick, but you've consistently been skeptical he'd end up (Maize &) Blue. Sup with that?

That is the only thing that I can possibly think of.  I know SEC schools will let you in if you can convert oxygen into carbon dioxide, but unless there is something that Michigan thinks is fishy, there is no human in their right mind that would choose Kentucky over Michigan for any reason.  Well, except for that supplying girlfriends as needed (I know I am lumping them with Louisville, but it is the same state)

It didn't seem like UM was recruiting him very hard. That isn't to say he isn't worthy of being recruited hard, but they just aren't for whatever reason. Who knows?

Im curious. I keep seeing people say "It didnt seem like Michigan was recruiting him hard"

How would you guys even know if Michigan was recruiting him hard or not?

I think a lot of it comes from the fact none of the other big-name programs in the conference/region seemed to be in play.  OSU didn't even offer, per 247.  And MSU, a team currently ranked 9th in the conference in recruiting, with no offensive line recruits in this class and only 4 last year, didn't seem all that interested in him either.

I don't wish the kid any harm, and hopefully he has success at UK.  But it's hard to imagine this kid had his heart set on playing for the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC East.

Neither Michigan or (apparently) MSU seem to have been recruiting this kid hard.

Best of luck to him wherever he ends up - except when he plays M.

Because he can start four years as long as he doesn't get hurt. Now where can we find a great left tackle to recruit?

That whole "ESS EE SEE" thing doesn't really work here in KY. I mean, because no one here cares about football. I don't doubt for one second that it happens with UK basketball, or any other SEC teams football. I just dont buy it with UK football.

Well, I guess the blue balls from earlier today were indeed indicative of something, except it wasn't normally the sort of thing that blue balls might normally....well....indicate.

Of course, it's 2018, which a) makes me feel old, and b) makes me wonder if - like a fair number of commitments this far out - it doesn't change at some point.

I would think his self esteem is high enough that he wouldn't choose Kentucky.  At least go to a Wisconsin or something.
