Shavodrick Beaver Stats

Submitted by Jeffro on
After experiencing "the power of the Forcier" today, I decided to check on the progress of a former Michigan commit. Shavodrick Beaver Stats 9/4 @Tulane W 37-13 Did Not Play or did not accumulate any stats. 9/12 @New Mexico 3 ATT -4 YDS -1.3 AVG 3 LNG 0 TD (no passing stats) Apparently he is healthy and lost the starting job to a sophomore QB. I know this is premature, but I still can't help but chuckle after all the success Tate has had in only two games. After Beaver, Newsome and then Threet ran away, the Michigan Football gods led the true savior right into the starting job. It's a great day to be, a Michigan Wolverine.

Generally, a freshman backup QB is not going to have very good stats when their playing time comes exclusively at the end of an already decided game, especially because they generally run a rather reduced playbook. I certainly believe that Forcier is better, but I think these stats are misleading.
